Is Malvani Becoming a Drugs Factory? Shiv Sena Demands Strict Action in MD Drugs Case
Mumbai: Shiv Sena workers reached Malvani Police Station in Malad demanding strict action in connection with the recent MD drugs and chemical seizure case. Party leaders alleged that illegal drug-related activities had been operating in parts of the Malvani area for a long time and that the latest recovery of chemicals allegedly linked to the manufacturing of MD drugs has raised serious concerns among local residents.
According to Shiv Sena representatives, suspicious chemicals and related materials were reportedly recovered from locations in Azmi Nagar, Ajmal Compound, and Samta Nagar. Leaders claimed that the growing drug menace is badly affecting the youth of the area and creating fear among thousands of families living nearby.
The delegation submitted a memorandum to Malvani Police officials, ACP officers, and senior authorities, demanding strict legal action under the NDPS Act. During the interaction, Shiv Sena leaders also alleged that illegal parking activities, narcotics trade, and other unlawful operations have increased in the locality and require immediate attention from law enforcement agencies.
Speaking to the media outside Malvani Police Station, party representatives said that public cooperation with police authorities is necessary to completely stop the illegal drug trade. They further claimed that the investigation could reveal the involvement of several influential names and urged police to continue the probe without pressure.
Shiv Sena office bearers stated that the issue would also be raised before Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister-level leadership to demand a large-scale anti-drugs campaign in Malvani. They also called for investigation into the properties and financial activities of those allegedly connected to the narcotics business.
Police officials reportedly assured the delegation that strict action would be taken against drug trafficking and other illegal activities. Authorities stated that immediate action would be initiated wherever suspicious activities or information related to narcotics are found.
The matter remains under investigation, and officials have appealed to citizens to come forward with information that can help authorities curb the spread of narcotics in the area.
